Database Developer Software Engineer

Our dynamic well-funded start-up is lead by proven, highly reputable technology and finance veterans and has been operating in stealth-mode while exploring how to tap powerful intelligence technologies for the investment community.

We are looking for an exceptional developer with a strong understanding of relational databases, SQL and data warehousing techniques. The environment will include MS-SQL, mySQL, and API calls to a next generation data repository.

Responsibilities will include:

• writing SQL server stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, and other database objects; and
• identifying key performance metrics and developing reports and functionality for measuring performance.
•
Exposure to Java or reporting tools such as JReport, SQL-Server Reporting or Crystal Reports is a plus, as is experience with financial services. Though this position does NOT involve Access, Database Administration, Sybase, or Oracle, such experience could be helpful.
